We are one of Adelaides largest provider of high quality veterinary services in South Australia.
Our philosophy is to provide compassionate and high quality veterinary care and to reinvest in our hospital in order to expand the range of diagnostic and treatment facilities available. We are strongly client focused, progressive and professional and aim to be at the forefront of our industry in every way.
Our hospitals are modern, purpose built and fully equipped to provide a working environment, which is busy, stimulating and well managed. We encourage team members to work to the best of their ability, supporting them with development of skills and ambitions, and encouragement to embrace new responsibilities and thereby take an active role in their career progression.
As a full pet healthcare service provider we offer after hours emergency services every night of the year until midnight at our Magill Road (Trinity Gardens) hospital. The hospital is staffed during this time to ensure that your pet is monitored by our trained nursing staff and to assist the Veterinarian with emergency cases.

Advance Behavioural Training aims to give you the help and support needed to produce a well-mannered dog that you can be proud of! Canine Good Citizens™ on both ends of the lead!

Classes and private consults are available for all dogs. We aim to help you and your family get the best out of your dog, a well mannered dog becomes a valued member of the family for life!
Classes are run along Delta Society guidelines, which is a non-profit organization that aims to promote positive interaction between people and companion animals.

We use positive reinforcement methods; these training methods are reward based and motivational for both dog and owner. We aim to produce dogs that want to work for their owners all the time! No physical force or adversive punishment methods are used, therefore choker/ check chains or slip collars will not be allowed in classes or training consults. If you need some equipment to assist you and are unsure as to what you should use, make an appointment with me to fit some equipment or visit a Vet hospital that supports positive training methods for some advise and fitting of appropriate equipment. Reward based training is a less stressful approach to training and will help to produce a much stronger bond between you and your dog. It is also fun for both of you!

All dogs that want to enrol in any training classes must be up to date with vaccinations and vaccination cards must be sighted upon your first class.
When you bring a new puppy into your home there will be a period of adjustment. Your goals are to help your puppy to quickly bond to his/her new family, and to minimise the stress associated with leaving his/her mother, litter mates, and former home. If there are already dogs in the new home the transition may be a little easier as the puppy is able to identify with his/her own kind. Obtaining two puppies would be another option. However, most puppies, especially those obtained before 12 weeks of age, will form attachments almost immediately to the people and any other pets in the new home, provided that there are no unpleasant consequences associated with each new person and experience.

Adelaide Animal Hospitals has an intrinsic focus on Continued Education for all team members. We have an established process of consolidating regular up and coming training seminar, course and webinar options that we make available for team members to nominate their interest in and further offer more significant and comprehensive education options on request. Adelaide Animal Hospitals considers such continued education training to be of great value, benefit and interest both professionally and personally and therefore, encourages training wherever possible.

Additional training is also provided internally through organised weekly presentations held alongside our customer service meetings at each hospital. Both external and internal presenters provide ongoing advice and guidance on service and standards of care topics. We offer innovative and structured internal training programs for veterinarians, nurses, animal caretakers and client relations team members that include skill-based level systems combined with comprehensive ongoing training support.

The overall training and development component is considered a valuable necessity and worthwhile investment and emphasises our commitment to providing and encouraging premium standards of care, exceptional customer service and a progressive and stimulating workplace environment for our team members.
