Blue Dive have assembled a superb small team of friendly, experienced and professional scuba instructors from Australia, UK, Germany and Belgium and other parts of the world.
Adriana Juwig who originates from Germany expertly teaches many of the Blue Dive Open Water courses alongside the charismatic Jenny Cann. Both are excellent underwater photographers.
Michael Sausman and Glen Doherty – both extremely experienced having spent many years in the scuba industry – guide many of the privately guided trips.

PADI Course Director Glen Docherty has been diving for over 20 years and has certified over 1,000 divers. He has worked as a dive instructor in many countries including Australia, Egypt, Bermuda, Turkey and New Zealand.
With a Master’s Degree in Marine Biology, Glen’s particular interests are teaching people about the spectacular marine life seen whilst diving and underwater videography.
All members of the team have an unrivalled knowledge of the outer reefs off-shore from Port Douglas – and are happy to share their knowledge with you.

Mark has worked as a diving instructor in the Egyptian Red Sea and on the Great Barrier Reef and has dived extensively around Australia including Tasmania, the UK and many other parts of the world.
In 2008 he moved to Port Douglas to be close to the best parts of the Great Barrier Reef – and established Blue Dive. He has been visiting Australia since the early 1980s.
Jorg Van Santvliet (owner / operator)

Jorg’s extensive professional diving career has taken him around Australia a country that has become his home after leaving Belgium with his wife in 2005.
He achieved his commercial skippers licence in 2009.
Attracted by the Barrier Reef he moved to Australia in 2005 and never looked back.
Jorg teamed up with Blue Dive in 2011 and has been central to helping establish Blue Dive as the Premier Dive Centre of Port Douglas.
And he and his lovely wife Heidi are now proud Australian citizens.
