El Questro Wilderness Park is located in the east Kimberley, and extends for approximately 80 kilometres north-south and 60 km east-west, totalling one million acres in size.

It is, just 110 kilometres west by road, 58 kilometres on the sealed Great Northern Highway towards Wyndham, with the remainder on the Gibb River Road - regarded as one of the great Australian 4WD adventures. The Gibb River Road is now sealed from Kununurra to Emma Gorge Resort (the last 2km are still unsealed, but fine for 2WD vehicles).

Its landscape offers outstanding diversity - from rugged sandstone ranges and broad tidal flats, to rainforest pockets, gorges and permanent waterfalls. El Questro Wilderness Park is a unique place, where youll feel a sense of adventure at every turn.

El Questro Wilderness Park boasts four major river systems - from fresh water springs to the lazy salt-water estuaries in the northern part of the property. Here you’ll find an abundance of animals, fish and bird life congregating near rivers and waterholes.

Go barramundi fishing, set out on a horse trek, or explore remote areas by helicopter that only a lucky few have ever seen. Please be advised most tours depart from The Station. Guests staying at Emma Gorge Resort will need to drive or transfer to The Station.

One million acres in size, El Questro is located on the eastern perimeter of the Kimberley Region, and extends for approximately 80 kilometres into the heart of the region, most of which has never been explored. It is one of the last true frontiers. Go barramundi fishing, set out on a horse trek, or explore remote areas by helicopter that only a lucky few have ever seen.

Please be advised most tours depart from The Station. Guests staying at Emma Gorge Resort will need to drive or transfer to The Station. For all activities involving walking we suggest that you will need a reasonable level of fitness and wear appropriate, comfortable footwear to undertake these activities. If in doubt, please check with our Rangers at the property.
All tours and activities are subject to availability and change due to weather conditions. Minimum and maximum tour numbers may apply. Timings are approximate.
